Exactly. CFB is going to have is NASCAR moment soon. They'll lose audience quickly and realize that they were an overinflated regional sport that will come back to reality with a hard landing.

But for now, these are the CFB organizers:

Go back to the BCS and take top 4 or 6 teams.

I don’t even care that I work Saturdays. I used to cringe at the thought of missing a marquee game in a conference that still made sense geographically. I used to get bad FOMO when I wasn’t in the stadium for a big game.

I don’t even care these days when I’m putting in the weekend hours.

Should be 8 teams, take Power 5 champs, one GO5, and 2 at large. Stop it right there. That’s before all the conference expansion BS with Cal and Stanford in the Pacific-12 where they belong. Maybe even force ND to join a conference.

Yeah but this is what everyone wanted when Nick Saban came in and dropped his dick.

You asked for it. Accept it, bitches.

16 seems to be too much....not enough good teams I'd want to see.

I know money is eventually going to talk but 12 was that max I wanted

2 was fine, 4 was right, 6 is perfect, 8 could still work, 12 is dumb, and everything else is insane

NFL didn’t come around until 100 years later

Rutgers played first college FB game in 1869.

The NFL started well before 1969.

Around 1920.

I like this. The SEC going to 9 games and a scheduling agreement with the big ten would mean they could schedule a SEC team getting a big ten team at home "in place" of a SEC game when it has 4 SEC home games. A nice way to balance out a 9 game schedule. The big ten could do the same thing.

If you are a season ticket holder you absolutely do not want at most 2 buy a win games as part of the home schedule. I'd rather see LSU play Illinois or Michigan State instead of Nicholls or Western Illinois.
