Rummel WR went for 233 yards too and a lot of that was with 2nd string QB.

Presumably against the 2nd team defense then.

im sure someone knows what the score was though. i'm curious.

Probably.

Wasn't listed on the Rummel Football site, obviously.

Sounds like Rummel won by a lot.

Rummel is the deserving favorite but thy shouldn't put any stock into that scrimmage they played months ago.. Catholic is clicking right now and is somehow exercising quite a few demons in the choking department ..

The obvious are Ben miles and the moffit kid on defense.. The team doesn't seem to be overally flashy.. The offense seems to be clicking as the passing game has come along.. The qb Brien I believe is just a solid athlete and football player.. Receivers are just the same.. I'm sure there is way more knowledgeable guys as I'm just a shreveport transplant with kids heading to catholic in the coming years who hears way more about the program from alumnus friends than I wished.

ETA: the running back.. Edwards didn't play last week and didn't play in the second half against brother Martin.. Got no idea if he'll be ready for the dome..

Clyde got a concussion against BM. He's cleared for Friday.

Rummel/Catholic Scrimmage was scripted meaning each team got a certain number of plays regardless of results - so 15 straight plays even if you don't get a first down.

Then they played a 12 minute quarter live minus special teams. CHS won 6-0 but the TD came when the CHS D recovered a fumble in the endzone.

Rummel's defense is just nasty. Catholic will have to make some big plays on defense and special teams to stay in it.

Rummel's secondary is legit but hasn't been tested. CHS is a throwing team?

Do they have anyone that can block Briston Guidry?

I was on that team too. I think the field tilted when the University of Ruston walked out on the field. I think we were only the 2nd team that season to score first on them.

What number was your brother? Initials?

I went to Catholic but I don't want them to win. The first championship should not come with this split playoff BS.

. I'm actually in agreement with this. If they win great, but to me it's somewhat tainted.

Rummel is the best team in the state. If Catholic wins it shouldn't be tainted

It's not somewhat tainted, IMO. It's full blown tainted.

What was the reason for the split? Which side was asking for it?

The public schools wanted it, primarily Dutchtown. The public schools were tired of losing to the likes of John Curtis and Evangel year after year, so they took their ball and went home like the giant pussies they are.

No way I would give anyone that much data to figure out who I am.

Meh. The vehemently opposed the split and even explored legal and legislative means to get it tossed.

It was the public schools minus a few, like Zachary, that pushed for it.

Well Rummel won 5A right before the split but according to some it's "tainted" because they didn't have to beat WM. I'm anti-split all the way, but if Catholic wins they deserve that trophy.
