Their hands are pretty tied. Graduation dates are set a few years in advance because of having to schedule the River Center and having the bishop available for mass. They knew this was a possibility over a year ago.

Probably a West Monroe or John Curtis type guy that thinks sports trump all for a high school.

Either way my point is barbe is lucky because they are getting the baseball factory of south lake Charles. Those players have dominated for 20 years

Sports were without a doubt the most important part of high school for me. I was you've much rather played in the state championship game than gone to graduation.

I will agree they have had some very talented players come through Barbe the number of state titles they have won is a direct result of their coaching staff and philosophies they instill in their players throughout the year, not just the season. I doubt if any other coaching staff of a high school is more prepared than that group. Looks him or not there is a reason Glenn C was selected to coach in the USA baseball program. And on another note he helps just as many players from other schools with placement on select teams or college as he does his own players at Barbe.

You insinuated that bc West Monroe and John Curtis win all the time in sports, that they can't be as good high schools as ones that dont

Nah, I just think the mentality of sports being the most important thing for a school is silly.

Barbe baseball doesn't have a glut of private schools to contend with for kids like we see in other Louisiana cities.

Stm beat TCHS in the 4A final earlier today for example.

It wouldn't matter. Barbe's coach is outstanding. Barbe doesn't need to recruit. Players move there just to play there.
