That press release says that that guy Ben DiPalma is the AD. But the CHS website says he's the assistant AD and JP Kelly is the AD.

Did Kelly get canned/demoted because of this?

Kelly has been demoted to an assistant role in fundraising. You’d have to assume due to some sort of suspension from a being involved with athletics.

The biggest issue I have is those Catholic coaches beating their chest like they were the best coaches ever when in reality they just were better recruiters.

This seems to be a Baton Rouge problem.

I don’t disagree, but let’s not pretend that CHS had altruism in mind from the get go.

That’s fine. What was the rule that they broke? That's literally the whole issue. LHSAA won't say.

This is some major bullshite.

If Catholic was doing something shady and got caught...fine. Do the time and go on with life.
shite happens. What LHSAA has chosen to do in this instance is grossly unacceptable to me.

Those were Dale’s boys. 2017 would have been Gabe’s first year of recruiting

Recruiting, I mean, to appease the justice department.

The nuts and bolts of the team are from the catholic feeder schools. It becomes an issue when it goes beyond just a couple kids every year or two.

How many times does it need to be explained that all LHSAA schools agreed to stop releasing information on disciplinary proceedings. There’s probably been plenty of unreported smaller fines since that decision that you didn’t hear about because it wasn’t a school or situation as big as Catholic.

Ok? You said he only won because he recruited better than everyone.

Why? Was Catholic high getting too black for everyone’s liking? I see

You didn’t hear about smaller fines before.

As for the new rule, thanks for enlightening me. I didn’t read the whole thread so obviously I missed that info.

Why are there school zones of attendance for private schools?

I don’t think you can be texting kids recruiting them to come to your school regardless of where they live

In hindsight he probably never should have put that recruiting manual he gave to the coaches on paper.
