14 innings with only 2 runs each. Epic game. Pitching and defense was elite for both teams.

They broke our record for longest 5A (maybe any class) Final in Louisiana. 1996. We lost to Brother Martin 1-0 in 13 days innings. So, 0-0 through 12. But the game was like 5 1/2 hours long because our pitcher kept hitting and walking people the whole game. He may not have given up a hit, but it seemed like the bases were loaded just about every half inning. Talk about intense.
I can only imagine how much extra pressure was on Catholic after the boneheaded play kept it going.
Also, we were the home team and had the bases loaded with no outs and a 3-0 count on one of our best hitters. Everyone thought it was over. A series of a few, quick, unfortunate events and we were back on the field within like 3 minutes. 30 years ago, and I’m still not over it.
