Had the same question as you regarding banks and bovada checks. Did everything work out alright? Did the bank take it with no questions asked?

Find a local bookie that will give you credit and collect weekly, infinitely better/easier than Brovada.

some banks are slow and because it's an intl check it has to be pushed thru federal reserve, who honors it.
My wife has US banck, and the shite cleared in 2-3 days, of course she has a nice bank roll, so they can get it from her.
But my credit union took 4-6 weeks to clear, so i stopped depositing it there.
Betonline started sending checks in US funds, so it clears like a normal check.

The max hold a bank can put on a check is 9 business days.

Uh no
Since it's an International check from Canada(usually), and uses an 8 number routing number, where US banks use a 9 routing number, the check has to be pushed thru federal reserve who honor it. Many big banks will push it thru(honor it) within a week. Others can take a while, as it can take weeks to get Federal Reserve to do anything.
