For Christ's sake, it's been 12 years. Why are LSU fans still salty about Pete Carroll and USC?

This claiming of "titles" is a new thing.

Because back in the day....everyone knew it was a product of how the wind was blowing politically.

Winning though was not underrated.

And nobody won more than USC from 2000-2010.

Miami owned the the 80's

Florida State owned the 90's

and

USC owned the 2000's

Their record is unmatched.

Pete Carroll has the second best record for a head coach in history.

Carroll = zero official titles.

The AP said they were champs in 03 but the national media also tells you that global warming is a real thing. So I wouldn't put much stock into the writers poll.

Also. There's a reason the AP poll is no longer used to determine a champ.

I know right, if only there had been a universally recognized way to determine national champions that all schools and conferences would have been contractually obligated to...oh wait.

The LSU response by itself will make this worth watching

That is laughable.

LSU wasn't the issue in this argument. It was Oklahoma. And I bet both LSU and Oklahoma would have wiped the floor with Michigan also.

How about a 30-30 on Vince Young owning the Rose Bowl...

That one's being made as well. Shelley Smith was on a radio show recently talking about it. It's supposed to premiere after the heisman ceremony.

History declaring USC the national champ is sure to ruffle feathers.

LSU had a great team but is not remembered as the national champ.

They are remembered as the computer champ.

Alabama losing the title in 1978 from history books (except Alabama pre-history) as well.

History remembers that SC was overrated as frick & had to cheat to get the success that they did achieve. The PAC then is what the B1G is now, and everyone recognizes that. That's why their so-called accomplishments of the 2000s have been all but forgotten. Obviously, SC felt the need to air a show on ESPN to remind everybody that they were once relevant.

They really need to do one on the 1990's Nebraska teams.

Especially the 1995 GOAT team.

Hey, I was at least entertained by the U.

We'll see how the 30 for 30s are without Simmons and with four first-time directors in this volume. The Gospel According to Mac might be decent and I'm looking forward to Chasing Tyson because it's, well, Tyson. Aside from that, they could probably find some better content.

The one about John du Pont has oodles of potential. That was the story behind Foxcatcher with Steve Carrell, Channing Tatum, and Mark Ruffalo...nominated for best picture. That's one that could be great if done correctly.
