Except that he's open to returning, so maybe it's "see you in a little while"

He's looking for a $300 million payday
Who will give it to him?
Dodgers will likely lose Trea Turner
Yankees need a SS bad but Judge will break the bank
Red Sox could be a viable option

Why would he say he’s not open to returning?

Almost identical stats to Pena, who is a rookie, who is making millions less. Looks like Astros made the right decision.

While he’s been a good shortstop, doubt he really deserves that big a contract.

He's not going to touch 300. He might not even get to 200 mil IMO.

Obsessed with getting paid more than Lindor.

He turned down 10/$275M from the Tigers last year. He didn't help his value any, but he'll still get more than $200M if he wants that over another shorter higher-value deal.

Yeah... his value isn't any higher than a year ago.

He had a good season, but no better than 2021 and he's a year older.

They aren’t. Xander will be the starting shortstop again and if something horrible happens and he’s not, we already have Trevor Story.

I mean you do realize he was getting $35mil per year from minny, right

So what do you think his contract will be

I’ve heard several people say that he had the 2nd best season of his career so he’s worth the $300m

Yeah, but no one was ponying that up for the 10 years Correa wanted.

Less than the 10 years he wanted and less than $35M per year. Exactly what, I don't know. He has Trea Turner and Dansby Swanson in the same FA class and both are more valuable overall.

Last year was arguably the best of his career. 7.2 WAR in 148 games, the second most he's played during a season in his career.

He had a 5.4 WAR this year, fourth best in his career.
