Or I saw you talking out of your arse and called you on it. It's not like you'd be betting your life savings.
I'd have hated myself if i had deprived you of rent for your trailer or your Natty Light tall boys.

Talking out my arse?

One team is playing good baseball, the other is .500 and just scored 3 runs in 3 games.

You're fricking scared and it's now a 4 game lead

You dont even have to bet. If the Cards overtake the Cubs I'll ban myself on the muscle.
You know, because I'm so scared.
The Cubs are holding down the fort, and are getting healthier.
Being without our MVP, closer and one our best pitchers for extended periods of time this season we've been able to build and maintain a lead against the Cards. With all of them returning around or before September.
Y'all are playing way over your heads. It's been a nice stretch of good baseball. Carp has been playing out of his mind.
They will regress to mean. The Cubs have more talent and the better team, and that will bear itself out over the rest of this season.

So with all the shite you just muttered, why are the Cards leading the head to head so far this year?

By the way we've been without our 1 2 and 3 pitchers in Martinez, Wacha, and Wainwright for significant portions, cubbies aren't the only ones getting help

Cards have been without their 14 million dollar closer all year

If anyone sees the 2017 version of Holland let us know

This is such a dumbass argument. The Cubs have been hot garbage the majority of their existence yet still lead the all-time head to head against the Cardinals being one of the most successful clubs in existence. It means jack shite.

Absolutely, head to head has no bearing on mitigating the argument that one team is better this year than the other. Let's talk conjecture!

Like I said, the Cubs own the head to head over the Cardinals all-time. Are you willing to use that logic to say the Cubs have been an overall better franchise than the Cardinals?

Is the team that wins a best of 7 series in the playoffs the better team?

Taking a 130 year history is different than comparing one season.

So you're saying the smaller sample size is better?

I'm saying the Cubs have been trash since the All Star break and that's not really debatable. Now you can hitch your wagon to the team that is playing mediocre baseball or you can look at the real picture, which has the Cardinals being a better team than the Cubs right now. The Cardinals are even missing 3 starters, released their closer, and had their RF be completely useless this year. Despite all of that they're gaining ground on the Cubs.

What did I say that has you confused?

Nice work scoring 4 runs in 4 games this weekend, what an amazing .500 stretch of baseball by the scrubs

1 game in a week. Not exactly what I would classify as "coming for the Cubs"

Cubs have been 2 1/2 games better than StL since June 28. Just saw the graphic on MLB Tonight.
