Cards showing they're a top team against the 48-75 Marlins, the 36-84 Royals and a Nationals team that has won twice in their last nine games. Woof I'm scared.

Convenient timelines are convenient.
Cardinals have won 6 series in a row. The first in the streak was against the Cubs. The next 2 were against the Rockies and Pirates, who were ahead of or tied with them in the WC standings when they played.
When the series against the Nationals began, the Nats were within 3 games of them in the WC standings.
ETA: And their sweep of the Royals guaranteed that the Royals would have a losing season this year. So that's a bonus.

Not since 7/27 (the date the series streak started and when the bullpen was turned over). First MIL series since that date starts tomorrow.
CHC, COL, PIT, MIA, KCR, WAS
ETA: COL and WAS were/are 4 game series as well, so 3 of the 6 series saw the Cardinals win 3 games.

Now this is a classic Drewbie post, posts the bad teams but ignores the series wins over the CUBS and Rockies.

I simply posted the teams involved in the coveted winstreak Cards fans have been nutting over in this thread. Just a bit of perspective.

Minus the CUBS and Rockies. Convenient.

Anyways back to the SERIES discussion
Yeah, I am confident we will take the series at home vs the Brewers and really need to with @LAD and @COL to follow. Tough Western trip.

.500 team since all star break with maybe the worst starting pitching staff in the league.
If there is one thing we've learned in baseball, it's that you want to be playing your worst baseball late in the year.
