12Everyone can name a dozen baseball players from the time. They are heroes of the game. But what about basketball? The game has been played since the 1800s but we can only name Pete Maravich and the guy from the NBA logo?
What is going on here? Is it because it’s all white guys?

The NBA wasn't formed until after WWII. Professional baseball has been around a lot longer than the NBA. The MLB existed before the sport of basketball did.
