Because when he went to tuck the ball in on his hip, the helmet was already there. Forcing the incompletion

Official blew the play dead and signaled incomplete before recovery
Either A. The ball was moving and he never brought it to a stop, which would be incomplete
B. Play dead by the officials, indisputable evidence to overrule
Either way once the official killed the play it was over. No recovery after the play is blown dead.

I think 8 calls in the last hour were bullshite, but I think 4 were legit GFY LSU calls. fricking bullshite.

We know there was 3 seconds left on the spike
We know they had enough men on the LOS on the spike
Greedy never made an attempt on the ball, just played the man
He didn't make a football move with possession
He caught the 4th down pass well past the chains. Ignore the yellow lone on your TV, it means nothing official

Watching it real time I thought it was a fumble. I didn’t understand the ref calling it incomplete on the field. Replay confirmed it as a fumble IMO
