The “defense” the suns played tonight on him was pathetic. They let him get whatever he wanted.

I mean , he won the game for them last night or the night before and he’s getting 5 plus assists a game.
He’s keeping them in games without kd
It’s not that big of a deal to discuss though, he will either get more minutes for the nets or get traded and get big minutes for another team.
Genie is out of the bottle with cam . He’s not going back to playing 8 mins a game or whatever . If not for nets , then for someone else

His knack has always been defense but his offense outweighs his lack of defense IMO. Once Durant comes back i would imagine he’ll be the 6th man off the bench so when Durant is on the bench he’ll keep the offense going. He’ll also probably be part of the closing lineup with Durant good luck stopping that

The fit was terrible. He was drafted to a team with KD, Kyrie, and Harden.
Cam Thomas is a top 5% ile iso scorer in the nba. The issue is. His team had 3 people actually better at his elite skill than him.
I’ve actually liked what I’ve seen from him the last couple of games. He’s a pretty willing passer and he battles on defense. He got gassed tonight on a SEGBABA, but he never quit.

It's a team game and ISO ball with a top scorer that doesn't ever look to pass and doesn't play hard on defense has proven to get you not much in this league other than some meaningless stats and maybe unimportant regular season wins.
I love watching Cam Thomas play, but I would hate to coach him, especially on a team with other great scorers.

i thought he was the next big thing when he was at LSU but people warned off him for the draft because he took bad shots and not much d to speak of.
tv guy was praising cam last night for shot selection instead of heat check show off.
