what? Washington literally did exactly that for Reese.
Yea because they knew Clark was coming a day or two later and they lost their arse on the Reese game because only 10k showed up in a 20k arena.
Lol at thinking that going from 5k to 10k is some sort of crazy demand. Congrats, Angel drew 700 more people than the current 9,300 LEAGUE AVERAGE.

it was a sellout..... they only put 10k tickets for sale.
you are the one that insisted Angel Reese didn't move the needle. She was literally the only player they changed arenas for besides Clark.

Just stop with the because LSU nonsense.
Angel barely drew more than the current league attendance average, then two days later Caitlin put over 20k in the same building.
“They only put 10k up for sale so it was a sellout!” …. LOL they only put 10k up for sale because there was no more demand.

Mystics capacity is 4,200. They had to move to a bigger arena just for her. You stated noone was doing that for Reese. you were wrong.

She doesn’t when compared to Clark lol
She can barley increase her home teams attendance in one of the biggest sports markets in the world lol

then why are Clarks games vs Reese getting more viewers than her games vs other players?
Why is Reese vs Clark a bigger draw than Clark vs Brink or Clark vs MVP A'ja Wilson?
if it was only about Clark then playing Reese wouldn't have more views than playing other teams.
Sorry but Angel is here to stay.

You are twisting and bending the facts to fit your false agenda. Trying to spin a 10k league average crowd into the same thing as a 20k record breaking crowd.
Okay, the one time a team changed a venue for Reese (since you seem to think this is a massive victory), it was a failure. They rented a 20k venue and only 10k showed up.

Go look at the current home attendance averages as well. Chicago isn’t even in the upper half in the entire league.
small market Indiana at the top with 16,800 per game
massive market Chicago ranked 7th out of 12 with 8,600 per game lol
Indiana’s lowest/highest attended games = 15,000 / 17,200
Chicago’s lowest/highest attended games = 7,800 / 9,800

HER court vision, passing and shooting is the closest thing we've seen of a female Bird
I thought that might be the case when she came into the league. Still, I'm not sure if that is true now but only partly because I have not followed professional women's basketball other than occasionally checking stats when I am curious about how former LSU players are doing. So I have no real idea if there has been anyone before with her combination of skills. Her shooting has not been as good as it was in college but I feel like that will come around. I think Bird took a year or so to reach his full NBA potential.
We probably agree on more than we disagree.

The only thing that matters is Chicago ticket sales with Reese vs without Reese.
In 2023 they played 2 home games vs Minnesota Lynx and sold 5,099 tickets and 7,900 tickets.
When they played the Lynx last weekend they sold 9,025 which is a sellout crowd. The difference Reese has made in ticket sales is pretty obvious.

Lol solid trolling with this imbecilic, smoke and mirrors, gymnastics
WNBA Attendance is up across the board this season… the difference is Chicago averaged 7,200 last year and this year they’re averaging 8,600.
Oh and that Indiana team… they averaged 4,000 last year and 16,800 this year.
So Reese’s value is 1,400 fans per game and Clark’s value is 12,800 fans per game.

But yea you’re right! It’s totally the same thing! Angel is packing them in just like Caitlin!

In just her rookie season, Reese literally holds the record for most consecutive double-doubles in one season, something a thousand-plus players & all-stars before her have never done in league history. Her game obviously is not as entertaining to watch as a lethal logo 3-pt shooter is, but to suggest Reese is dime-a-dozen is remarkably narrow-minded & dismissive.
The streak is impressive but the league has been giving her stats in garbage time to keep it.
In two of the last 3 games she's gotten intentionally fouled with 20 seconds to go and had someone jack up a 24 foot 3 with 12 seconds to go both in a blow out to keep the streak
Last game she got two rebounds in garbage time. They're basically trying to hand the streak to her at in the back half

The Angel Reese effect. She's the reason more fans attend games when Chicago is in town.
They just played @ Seattle and sold 10,725 tickets. That's the most of any game @ Seattle this year besides Caitlin Clark.
Reese is the 2nd biggest draw in the WNBA as a rookie.

Go look a few post up where the current home attendance numbers (with a link) are posted, he down voted that one as well because he didn’t like the numbers lol.

Anyone thinking people are rushing to the Arena to watch Reese put-back her own missed layups are out of their mind. Her game is the same as it ever was and why no one watched. She's only a name because of attacking Clark.

so who are they showing up to watch for Chicago? Why would a random team like Seattle sell more home tickets for their game vs Chicago than every other team (besides Indiana) unless they are going to watch Reese?
Why did Washington rent out a bigger arena for their game vs Chicago and not for other teams?
Do they just like Chicago's mascot better or something?

You’d think being such a huge draw would at least increase your hometown attendance by more than ~15%, in one of the biggest sports markets in the world.
