Tons of Poly's in Utah so you see that kind of thing in high school and some college sports. I don't know if it's technically the haka though. I was told the haka is the Maori way and Tongans and Samoans have their own thing that's very similar.

A lot of them went on two year missions, which isn't that big of a deal considering in football there are plenty of redshirt freshmen and such and you consider that they aren't playing rugby while they're on that mission.
