Should be plenty of good athletes going around Lafayette since they obviously don't attend Lafayette High.

Lafayette High has talented athletes for every sport other than football.

I'm sure the football coach has everyone believing the largest public school in the state doesn't have enough athletic bodies to fill 22 positions. I mean statistically, they have 50 kids at the school for every one football position if not more like 60. If you can't find (or develop) one out of 50 kids at your school, man you are terrible.

I mean they won a state title in basketball less than 10 years ago. A player from a couple of years back is a starter at Houston. Several baseball players go play D1. Their soccer teams routinely make deep playoff runs. They're not the premier athletic school in the state, but they routinely have good athletes and every few years they have D1 athletes.

They had a pitcher that threw in the upper 80s to low 90s and seemed to be pretty good. He went to MIT, but I don't see him on their baseball roster. I think he was getting D1 offers, turns out he's just a nerd.

Yeah it would be very hard to turn down a chance to go to MIT. Like that kid who chose Princeton over Alabama for football.

Oh yeah. I thought he would be on their baseball team though. He went there a year after they had two guys drafted. I guess he could be sitting out a year to adjust to the academics.
