I think the rise of Shows/WM also benefited from Richwood reopening their high school back up. Before that all of those players were combined with all of the players at Ouachita. There’s a reason WM couldn’t beat Ouachita prior to the split/reopening.

Or PBS in 2015?

Probably the best STM team I’ve seen was the 46 points they put on the U-high college level team Gordon McKernan assembled in 2018. I wanna say STM put up like 600 yards offense. But U-high had too much fire power.

Meh, they’re kids. What did you think about Joe Burrow posted up with the cigar for the cameras after the natty?

Hammering on a 17 year old for clowning with a hard won trophy and having a great time. Ease up gramps.

Just face the fact that Catholic never won it all until the split happened. It’s ok. You must have been one of the boys wearing the jorts in the bleachers

It’s easier just to realize they didn’t win until Fertita arrived and is building something special now that the program is his alone. When he eventually leaves it will be interesting.

Especially for the top division. I don’t care what the smaller divisions do but the big boys need to play against each other.

Catholic has won 3 state titles in the past 6 years and have played for the title 4 years on a row from 2017 to 2020. they won their first in 2015 vs Rummel in the dome. in 2017 won it again vs Curtis, lost to Curtis in 2018, and lost on a kickoff return at the end of the game vs Rummel in 2019 and won it in 2020 over Byrd. So to answer your question they have won 3 total in the schools history with all three coming over the past 6 years and have played in 5 title games.

Well that was STM first time beating Catholic in 5 years. and this year in 2020 they won by one point on a missed extra point and field goal by Catholic.

2 of the best HS football games I've been to, STM vs CHS 2019 and 2020, both down to the wire.
