#LHSAA overturns ruling. No school is banned from post-season play. Byrd and Southwood will pay a fine of $1,000. Huntington owes nothing.

For the group of South LA teams that will possibly be paired with Byrd in round 2 now instead of Scotlandville, this is a big deal. I know Barbe, Acadiana, St. Amant, Dutchtown and Ponchatoula are watching this closely.

Also, teams 26-32 include 4 teams in Scotlandville's district that might go have to go to Shreveport instead now.

CE Byrd... a team set to make a deep run in the class 5A playoffs (prob. the favorite to win the title) this year was ruled ineligible for the playoffs (among others including Southwood) b/c they have 2 "athletic" periods during the school day... which is illegal under LHSAA rules

their parish school board recently changed to a block school day... kinda threw everything weird apparently

this ruling allows Byrd back into the playoffs

Not as long as they run that offense. They're not beating Destrehan or WM unless they throw the ball.

That's definitely not as "gay" as high school football.

You're actually right. Obsessing about young boys as you are isn't as much gay as it is pedophilia.

Move along chubs. You don't want to go down this road.

East Ascension played up there last year in the second round. Byrd was the top seed, but it was obvious they weren't going much further. Don't think they were as good as St Amant or Dutchtown, to be honest.

Deep as in win two and go home, right? They cannot throw and are not physical enough on Defense to handle Destrehan, West Monroe, Scotlandville, Zachary or those types.
