Average teams rarely beat UT in Austin on Thanksgiving

The very fact that they are only playing in Austin on Thanksgiving (TCU this year, Texas Tech next year) automatically DEFINES you as an average team. They will NEVER voluntarily play a team they know is good on Thanksgiving.

I'm sure it has nothing to do with them wanting an in-state opponent that will actually bring fans to the game and some interest from their own fan-base.

Take the FAggie sour grapes elsewhere.

... Actually, what the frick is wrong with you? You just won the Heisman, are playing in a bigger bowl than Texas, are no longer in the conference, but you still want to bitch about Texas getting a home game every thanksgiving after dumping A&M, while bashing the teams they play (as if both TCU and TTech wouldn't have/didn't beat A&M more often than not in the past decade).

Get over it FAggie, you're in the SEC now!

TCU hasn't beaten A&M since NIXON was president. The last time we played TCU, Franchione was YOUR coach and we won by 19.

Also, there was a 3 year stretch between 2008-2012 where Texas Tech didn't beat A&M in any sport until finally their women's tennis team broke the streak.

From November 2008 - present, Texas Tech has only beaten Texas A&M once in all sports (series win in baseball is what's counted here).

Yeah, you guys absolutely owned us in the 70s, 80s, and early 90s. Now you refuse to schedule us. Tell me, which of the last 10 years do you think A&M would have beaten TCU, if any of your recent coaches had been dumb enough to put us on the schedule? I'll concede this year, and you can concede the 4 years that we finished in the top 10, and last year when we finished in the top 15. Now feel free to argue your case for the other 4 years of the last decade.

Or you can continue to argue about your record against us that hasn't changed since before just about all of our players were even born.

(Only a dumbass Aggie would argue program supremacy over a team they have ducked for 15 years, knowing they would likely lose)

Oh, and Texas Tech was 6-4 against y'all in your last 10 years in the Big XII, so quit looking down your nose at them, dipshit.

at A&M 46 SMU 13

SMU 40 at TCU 34

at A&M 55 Baylor 27

at Baylor 50 TCU 48

We beat the two teams that beat you last season by a combined 61 points.

Yeah, and we as the youngest team in the country weren't ranked early in the year after those losses. Then as our players got more experience, we won out and beat a top 5 team on the road.

We then finished in the top 15 in both major polls, while the Aggies finished unranked in both polls with ZERO AP votes and 5 votes in the coaches' poll. Y'all had 6 losses and a losing conference record. And then you fired your coach.

TCU last year was a story of two halves of a season--we were the youngest team in college football and were lucky to escape with only two losses, and close ones at that.

Now that we've hashed out last year, care to address the rest of the decade, in which A&M has no argument for superiority over TCU?

Bumped to reflect the team that's "not average" giving the Big Ten likely their only bowl win.

Suck a dick. Your team has no significant bowl wins in your lifetime.

Edit: Just saw you were born in '78. My bad. Thought you were around 20 based on the intelligence level of your posts.

Edit 2: Just saw you're in the Army. It all makes sense now. Semper Fi.

Edit 3: For clarification, you only have had one "major" bowl win during your lifetime, and it's marginal at best. The 1985 Cotton Bowl. Fortunately you're not younger than 28 because then you really would have absolutely no argument for having had a bowl win of any importance in your lifetime.

1. We weren't in the 1985 Cotton Bowl. We beat Auburn in the 1986 Cotton Bowl.

2. We beat Notre Dame in the 1988 Cotton Bowl. Maybe you forgot. That was the one in which Tim Brown got his towel stolen by one of the 12th Man kickoff members.

3. I guess the 65-14 win in the 1990 Holiday Bowl against #9 BYU and Heisman Trophy winner Ty Detmer doesn't qualify as a major bowl win either.

4. In my lifetime, we've never lost a bowl game to a Big Ten team not named Ohio State or Penn State.

5. In my lifetime, TCU has played 7 bowl games against BCS conference schools. They won 2.

The fact of the matter is simple: In my lifetime, TCU was a marginal at best Southwest Conference team. When they had to play in a conference that wasn't the WAC or Mountain West, they went 7-5. Hard to get 10-12 wins a year when you don't play New Mexico, Colorado State, UNLV, and Wyoming every year. To your credit though, you finally ended all the talk about how blue turf was unbeatable in Boise, ID.

I can't believe TCU blew it against MSU.

Also Purdue vs OSU has the potential to be one of the biggest blowouts ever I think.

Wasn't sure what to expect from MINN,but they made it an interesting game. not all that surprised with MSU (even though i tbought it could've gone either way).

NW/Mississippi st. will be interesting too.

I think all the SEC/BIG games are interesting until the 4th quarter, when the SEC teams often have more depth at the end of the game

Georgia will blow Nebraska out. The same thing will happen to Purdue. I think SC will pull away from Michigan in the 2nd half. Wisconsin should lose by a few scores.

NW is the only team I expect to win.

That's a dumbass statement, and you know it. As was said multiple times last night, we were playing with both the most true freshmen and redshirt freshman in all of FBS. This team is in no way comparable to any team that we have had since 2004.

Our redshirt freshman QB had two days notice that he was suddenly the starter over our QB who going into week 4 was on several watch lists, and Boykin then proceeded played awful in 3 games not including last night. If Pachall wasn't such a fricking drunk (and as a result we had a QB who didn't overthrow wide open receivers by 10 yards on seven different occasions last night), we would've easily won last night, an we wouldn't have lost to Iowa State, Texas Tech, and probably not Oklahoma State or Oklahoma (we lost by 7 to OU and couldn't put together a late drive with our inexperienced QB).

If you think this season is indicative of the true capability of our program, you're an absolute dumbass. I won't give you benefit of the doubt (because, after all, you are an Aggie) but I think you're probably just being deliberately obtuse. That being the case, I'm not going to continue repeating myself in trying to educate you. And I won't continue to read your lengthy diatribes about how we sucked in the 70s, 80s, and 90s; which I've already conceded.

Good luck against OU--we'll see if you guys can beat a quality team who is rested and not half beaten to death and vulnerable like Alabama was after the LSU game.
