Nebraska has nobody to blame but themselves. Kick the ball inbounds and don't horse collar tackle and you have a better chance at winning.

I hate to say it, but I agree 100%. If they kick the ball into the end zone, they win the game, simple as that.

So what is the rule? Is the ball dead when contact is made out of bounds or when it crosses the sidelines? I know punts are ruled dead when they cross the sidelines, so why would a thrown pass be any different?

The rule is that the ball is dead as soon as it strikes something.

If that is a written rule, then how can the win hold up upon review? But again, you don't kick it out of bounds and you win that game IMO.

Kracka... FWIW, Tommie Frazier is my all-time favorite player, and IMO, the greatest college player in history. I met him a few years ago in Hattiesburg when Nebraska played Southern Miss. I was in Tempe when he ran roughshod over the Gators.
