You are early....stinking coverage starts 2pm CT. No, I do NOT pay for apps especially espn+ bullshite. PGA is quite stupid regarding how they cover the fed ex playoffs. Sucks for the players, OH! but the players own the PGA.

Man you have crappy takes, Norman having a six shot lead with 18 to play and still losing by three was way worse. Biggest 18 hole gag job ever at Augusta and I used to be a fan of that turd.

What Clegg and his father do before each shot is the most egregiously slow bullshite I’ve ever seen

Pretty confident he’s not a UGA guy.
But college golf right now is egregiously slow. It’s a massive problem in the game. Both on the mens and womens side.
I’ve been trying to find coverage for the Rd of 16 but haven’t seen it anywhere.

Is there no oversight at that level?
This guy and his dad(his caddie) walked all the way around every single putt multiple times and made stops and had in depth discussions at every stop. Took him probably 3+ minutes to pull the trigger on straight forward right to left 5 footers. If the putt was 40 feet he’d take what felt like 10 minutes with the thing.
Same went for every approach shot.
Sargent is the 4th ranked amateur in the world and looked at shite for 10 seconds and fired away, which made the difference in styles really hard to watch.
Plus they’re airing ot commercial free so everyone was stuck watching this guy play so slow.

No. Almost all of the slowest golfers I play with right now played in college. They’re especially bad in tournaments.
But basically, they always have a coach with them who goes over each shot with them in full detail. So I kind of blame the coaches for making it worse. But also, if no one calls you for slow play, I guess you’re going to keep doing it unfortunately.

Like the over-coaching and hand holding in game during college basketball at times(mostly before the shot clock was shortened I guess)
If you get the right type of player and don’t give them a time limit, they’re going to comb every inch of every shot to ridiculous levels.
