UAB does have a 5-6k seat soccer stadium that they and Birmingham Legion use.

If I were in charge of a spring football team. Id put them in the renovated soccer stadium or even Regions before Legion field

A lot more money and people in the Birmingham area. Birmingham has a much bigger airport, bigger stadium, etc.

Montgomery metro on has 374,536 people. Birmingham metro has 1,151,801.

I also think people in Montgomery, Huntsville, Tuscaloosa, etc. are more likely to go to Birmingham to watch a game than for people in Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, etc. are likely to go to Montgomery for a game.

Wont turn a profit in Birmingham. The "hook me up cuz" mentality of the temp works they got for the Iron game let about 10,000 people into the game for free. Unless they are willing to invest in real workers it will never work.

Legion field has always been one of the biggest problems Bham has had for this sort of thing (outside of the leagues themselves just sucking).

The new stadium downtown should hopefully solve a ton of these issues. Look what happened to the Barons when they moved from the Hoover Met to their new stadium downtown.

The new stadium will be run by Legacy/BJCC.

Oh nice! Hadn't seen that one.

Now, if UAB will stop being idiots, and start scheduling more thursday & firday games, we'll be in business.

I think what you posted was one of the initial renderings. I thought it looked like shite until the released the updates.

Well that is good news. I think they do a good job. But i only go to super white people events at the BJCC, so I dont know. Aint too many West End people trying to get the hookup from their cousin for Fleetwood Mac
