The committee couldn't have F'd this up much more if they tried.
We should be looking forward to an epic New Year's of Inter Conference Matchups like OSU/Texas, , Oregon/Georgia, Penn State/ND
Instead we get this Clown Show of Joke Schools like Boise & ASU, and a Big Ten Rematch.

OSU & Oregon both beat Penn State.
Penn State is rewarded with SMU & Boise while OSU & Oregon are punished by having to play each other in Round 2.
Morons.

They should have logically switched PSU and OSU

However, OSU lost 2 games and doesn't get to control its own destiny

Also whose alter are you?

Don’t lose to a bad Michigan team and it doesn’t happen. They were ranked appropriately to how their season went.

They had better wins than Texas ND and PSU and beat PSU at their house.

They had a bad loss for sure.

So I think they could have been ranked 5 all the way to 7. I certainly think they should have been ahead of PSU

I was referring more to Oregon getting screwed than I was Ohio State.
And to the Idiocy of the Clown Schools getting Byes.
By the way, that bad Michigan Team just beat Alabama with their entire starting D-Line sitting out.

Apply this to 2016 and Penn St gets in over Ohio St for the CFP

The way we played against Clemson that year I’d take the switch.

Win your conference then

If they want to make any changes to the format, keep the byes reserved for conference champs and then reseed the entire field for the 2nd round based on the actual rankings.

Oregon did win their conference

And you really want to compare the ACC, BIG12 & whatever Joke Conference that Boise plays in to the Big Ten ?
The ACC is what, 1-9 this year in Bowls ?
One of those Conferences is not like the other.

If they happened Ohio State would have a more favorable draw.

That said. I’m confident about tomorrow. Oregon played clean and got several breaks the first time around. Play a clean game tomorrow and we cover easily.

You don’t get a bye in the NFL either if you don’t win your division. Lions-Vikings loser next weekend will be 14-3 and playing a firsr round road game vs a team that only won 9 or 10 games.

Did Penn State beat OSU @OSU in 2016?

I must have missed that. PSU lost by 40 to Michigan that season and lost @Pitt.

OSU and PSU both have 2 losses this season. OSU went 11-1 in 2016

How the heck are these two scenarios even close to the same?

I was referring to a game against Clemson that I’d prefer never happened.

This will anger a lot of LSU fans who wanted Bama in the playoffs.

But they lost two games to OSUs one

Both teams have 2 losses this season and OSU beat PSU at their house. If OSU beat PSU but only had one loss it would be the same result and I would be fine with it

These scenarios are not the same
