A little more pressure on the owners to come to the table.

According to some reports, the owners hate Doty, the judge who oversees their CBA and have tried to get him removed multiple times

The judge has spoken. He wants his football just like the rest of us. Justice has prevailed.

It means that the owners won't have the TV income they were hoping to get.

The existing contract had been written to give them an "advance" on TV money if no games were played due to a labor action. They'd have to pay it back down the line, but they could have afforded to because it would have given them leverage to break the players' union.

This is pretty big, but I'm sure that as soon as the ruling was given that the owners were on the phone with banks to get a line of credit like they've done in the past.

I'm sure the owners were pretty confident about getting this TV money, but they will have other means of getting funds.

yeah no owner is going to have to sell their yachts to make it I'm sure. But it does help put pressure on owners to cave at the table
