Duke @ UVA. It's the biggest game of the season to this point. Duke has their back against the wall with the Sulaimon stuff and three conference losses already, while I still don't think people actually believe UVA is legit. UVA will be out with a point to prove. This will be fascinating.

I'll just go ahead and assume LSU at MSU not being listed in other notables was another brain fart.

Nope, not a brain fart. Will include, though...?

ETA: I know LSU is playing for a spot in the tournament, but MSU kind of sucks (195 in KenPom).

im just kidding. its definitely not notable. i wouldnt really consider memphis at gonzaga notable either but i guess its nonconference. memphis sucks. they'll get blown out.

the biggest sec game is probably arkansas at florida.

There are people who think UK and Duke would wipe the floor with them because of the perceived lack of talent on UVA's roster. I promise I have had idiots say this to me.

Personally, I think UVA is a final four team and a legitimate threat to cut the nets down at the end of the season. Scoring 60 on them is something to write home about.

Virginia is a scary team.

Raw numbers offensively don't scare you, but when you consider how little possessions they average per game (60.1, 350th nationally) and their AdjO on Pomeroy (5th), they're a legitimate national title contender with an already stellar defense.

Hate to say it, but I doubt Duke comes out of there with the W. UVA defense has given duke issues the last couple of years. I doubt that ends this weekend.

Duke could definitely win there. Okafor is gonna have to play like a grown arse man in the paint for that to happen though. Someone on the Georgia board made an interesting comment about UVA, something about them being the most well coached team in America and that every motion on the court has a purpose.

Gonna take a hell of an effort from Duke to pull this off. It's doable, but not likely.

Not only does UVA keep teams from scoring, but they also keep them off the line. FT attempts have always been one of Duke's major weapons.

I don't think UVA being well coached is interesting in itself. It is interesting that UVA has been able to succeed with 0 McD AAs. That should speak for itself on how well coached we are.

The interesting part of the comment was more about the no wasted movement than the well coached part. Anyone with decent eyesight can see that Tony Bennett is an incredible coach.

That's always a fun statistic for me to look at. I'm glad Tony Bennett is having as much success as he has without all of these McD AA's that a Kentucky or Duke has.

Bo Ryan, too, has won at a very high rate at Wisconsin despite having just one McD AA (Brian Butch) in his tenure.

I think we talked about this in another thread, but I do hope Bennett succeeds Ryan at Wisconsin when his time is up. I know you felt that there was no reason for Bennett to leave from a competitive standpoint. I tend to agree, but you never know how he feels about returning to his home state and coaching a team his father once coached and he was an assistant for!

Anyway, as I've previously said, I think Virginia is the most complete team in the country at this point.

Anyone watching College Gameday? The Hoos came out in full-force. There are about 150 programs in the country that would love to have this type of showing for games.

Some great signs out there:

- Belle Knox loves Tonys D
- duke hates chipotle
- wojo deflates coach k's balls
- coach k wears sketchers
- UVAs D packs it in
