ESPN now uses "PAC 12 After Dark" which I think is a direct rip-off of SAD.

Not quite. SMS got Sark After Dark from a tweet from Kevin Sumlin. So maybe they did the same and just revised it to “PAC 12 After Dark”

Or some intern is reading the MSB and copying our shite

It might be both. SMS might have been "inspired" by the Sark tweet (which I didn't know about) but after looking it up, Sumlin wasn't referring to a game or anything, just Sark in general as a person. Then SMS could have applied it to all of the late-night PAC 12 games and then someone/some intern at ESPN saw.

ESPN people definitely read this site.

thought it was funny at first but not now.

people go around blurting it out like it's a snippet from the Chappelle's Show.

They knew exactly what they were doing. The commercial itself is secondary to the tag line. Just going for something that would catch on amongst drunk college kids and 20 somethings. It worked.

Sark After Dark

Was ripped off from Sumlin, but SAD as a game it was me and WCA explaining late night Pac 12 games few years ago. We also would call some of the hoops games that because, well they were sad to watch. I then expanded it to BYU games after dark because that is where Sark played QB at.

SHENANIGANS came from a Todd Graham game and really took off in the Oregon TCU Alamo Bowl, as it had pre game, during game, overtime, and post game SHENANIGANS.

All that being mentioned that is why there is only 3 or 4 official starters of a SAD game.

Damn. Lots of sarcasm meters are broken. Some of you are quite deserving of the pit of misery.
