Carter (and Francis to an extent) brought back the excitement. Richardson posted the best performance ever two years later.

Now the NBA should just do away with the contest. And baseball should do away with the HR Derby. Both are boring.

Best individual was Vince. In terms of the best finals showdown, 88 with Nique vs Jordan (many still claim Nique got robbed) is my favorite.

The exact moment when the dunk contest died for me - when Nate Robinson, after 50 do-overs, beat Iguodala who put on an amazing dunking display.

JR Smith's dunk was sick... but Vince's were all otherworldly. Dude was a f'n monster... perfect blend of grace, power, and finesse, plus he could almost fly.
