Montana is stastically the best QB in post-season history...

Alex Smith's playoff QB rating 99
Montana's playoff QB rating 95

quote:

his stats and completion % and accuracy and clutch play - ACTUALLY ROSE, against the most difficult competition.

Mark Sanchez QB rating rises 20 points from regular season to playoffs. Montana's QB rating rises 3 points

quote:

Manning is one of the worst in history of all good QBs - comparing his regular season to his pratfalls and play in the playoffs - he drops off like a brick...ergo the nickname...Mr. regular season.

Brady Regular season vs playoff QB rating is basically identical to Peyton's. Both go from about 96 rating in the regular season to 88 in the playoffs

quote:

Staubach are statistically the best in the playoffs compared to the regular season.

Starbach's rating is worse in the postseason than regular season by about the same % as Peyton actually

quote:

Montana had great great regular seasons, he just played better when the heat was on.

Montana was a really good player on a great great team.

I really enjoy watching the manning haters being put in their place time and time again. Its always the manning supporters who have numbers to back up their positions and the haters are left having to come up with some elaborate way to negate the facts lol

What are you talking about? We haven't been put in our places since Manning won Super Bowl XLI. Great...he beat an over-achieving Patriots team at home. It's a testament to the greatness of Brady that they were even in the game after all the injuries that team suffered this season.

It only makes sense for the shriveled up old man to lose to the new blood of the NFL in his final game as a professional athlete.

another old man beat the new blood last year though, so the old geezers might show they aren't quite done with history yet.

Best QB of all time?

Did Denver sign Drew Brees after the game today?

Brees is not the best of all time. C'mon now.

Any guess on the ratings for this one?

I would think the qb aspect will draw extra eyeballs.
