TB and Boston games going on simultaneously when Boston blew it and TB went to extras then won. Craziest shite I'v ever seen. Pap blows the game. Madden pinch hits dude of the end of the bench with 2 outs and he hits a tank to go to extras. Then Longoria walkoff.

This is what popped into my head as well.

'92 Duke-Kenty basketball classic. Greatest game I ever saw!

This would have been my answer as well, but I was thinking these were games we were watching in person.....

Just seen. there or not, I seent it and it was easily greater than some of the bs listed in here.

I was more neutral about this game when it started, but found myself a Kenty fan in the end.

That game had it all. Pure greatness and guts poured out by both teams. Will never be topped.

Yep. Greatest college game by a mile. I cried when Laettner hit that shot and I'm not ashamed to admit it. Bad defensive setup by Pitino.

There was much luck there too, but dang, you have to give it to Duke for the PERFECT execution.

I mean perfecto! It defined the game. Those teams played that great and it ended in perfection.

I hated it, but that has never happened or replicated or surpassed. It was the greatest game.

When I was a kid, remember watching this one

LINK

"That was the most exciting basketball game I've ever seen," said Rick Barry, who worked the event as part of the CBS broadcast crew. "They just had one great play after another. I'll never forget the end. Jo Jo White was so exhausted, he just sat down on the court. It was such an emotional and physical game for everybody involved."

Some of my favorites:

1992 Braves beat the Pirates in the NLCS when Francisco Cabrera singles in Sid Bream who barely beat a play at the plate

2010 Saints-Vikings NFC Championship Game

Stephen Strasburg strikes out 14 Pirates in his MLB debut

Braves beat the Twins 3-2 in Game 4 of the 1991 World Series

Giants beat the Pats in the Super Bowl (the first one with the crazy David Tyree catch)

I love these threads.

Mine would have to be the NO/Min NFC Championship Game. Can't really put into words.

Non-homer pick: I don't remember the year, but the Ok State/Texas basketball game that went 3OT. Each period ended with drama and they had some ridiculous shots made throughout the entire game. Ill never forget it.

Consolation: Game 6 of the ECF with Cleveland and San Antonio. LeBron was out of his fricking mind that night. One of the most dominant performances I can remember watching. Especially impressive with how you g he was and the fact that he was going against the defending world champs.

In person? Saints vs Vikings NFC Champ Game 2009. I don't think ever experienced such a roller coaster of emotions in such a short period of time.

On TV? This is just off the top of my head, but the aTm vs La Tech game last year was pretty damn nuts. That was most ridiculous last 5 mins or so of a game I've ever seen.

Why did you exclude college football? Thats dumb.

December 2, 1985. Monday Night Football. The Miami Dolphins beat the 12-0 Chicago Bears. The only loss the Bears had all season. Dan Marino threw for 3 TD's. Walter Payton broke O.J. Simpson's then record of 7 consecutive 100 yard games rushing.

I'm surprised the OU/Boise St game hasn't been mentioned yet. Back when most people actually pulled for the Broncos

when we blow this I may be done with sports for a few years.

I felt this way about the end of the 2011 season for both the Saints and LSU. Had Saints pulled through, I have no doubt they win Super Bowl #2 smashing the Giants at home and beating the Pats. LSU should have never played Bama again and should have whooped OSU in the title game. But the media had its own agenda and now we're in the middle of Bama's run

Two more for me: Best tennis matches I've ever seen are:

2008 Wimbledon Finals Rafa beats Fed
2009 Wimbledon Finals Fed beats Roddick

Both of those were absolutely epic.
