I haven't paced that much in my life. Could feel it in the pit of my stomach I was so nervous. Had Hartley missed that kick, it would have crushed me.

Man, I had forgotten the Rangers were one out/one strike away TWICE.

I did not actually watch the kick live. I was on my knees, face buried in the carpet, listening for the reaction of the crowd/my family behind me.

Yeah- great memory but that wasn't a great game, just a great ending for us Dodger fans.
The word "great" is subjective. You can qualify a game as great however you want.

2005 houston astros vs atlanta braves 18 innings ended with a chris burke walk off. Best game of my life bc
1)berkman hit a slam to bring us from a huge deficit to a small one in the 8th
2)brad freaking ausmus hit the game tying bomb, if your a stros fan you'd see the significance in this bc brad ausmus was pretty much an automatic out along with adam everett and the pitcher every night
3) watching roger clemens come out of the bullpen to do what had to be done was something unreal to watch, you just knew when roger came in it was game over. That season was just magical when he pitched
4)chris burke hit the walk off bomb another WTF player who sucked along the lines of brad ausmus
best game ive ever attended in person, the fact it was the playoffs and a clincher made it unreal

I watched the entire game by myself in my bedroom up until OT, where I watched with just my mom and sister in the living room. I was on my knees for the kick, hear "...send the Saints to the Superbowl" and just completely dropped and started screaming. Got up and ran, had tears in my eyes. Not sure if anything has ever stressed me out quite like that game. The Porter interception to send it into OT was such a relief.
The feeling and excitement I got from that season, the playoff run and Superbowl win far exceeds anything I've experienced from College Football.

Was Morgan Ensberg with the team then? I remember Stros fans calling him Morgan Outsberg.

That was later, I dont know what happened to him, but the world series year was his best, he was a 36 homer guy that year. The lineup was meh to say the least with not 1 .300 hitter
willy taveras
craig biggio
lance berkman
morgan ensberg
those guys could hit the last 5 guys
jason lane
chris burke
brad ausmus
adam everett
pitcher
the bottom 5 were nearly automatic outs, r
roger clemens had 1.87 ERA in 211 IP and went 13-8
roy oswalt had a 2.94 era and went 20-12, 12 damn losses!
Andy pettite had a 2.39 era and was 17-9
I mean our pitchers were so lights out, on a team with mediocre offense they would've combined for 65-70 wins

Browns/Broncos-The Drive
1991 Braves/Twins-Pretty much the entire series
1998 NFC Championship Game- I hurt my shoulder cheering so much when Andersen missed his first field goal of the year.

I was WAY up in the dome. I looked straight ahead in kind of a daze since I had a terrible angle on the goalposts. The noise said it all. As did my brother knocking the wind out of me and picking me up about 4 feet off the ground.

The 2008 Wimbledon Final - Nadal vs. Fed is up there too.
But the "best" or most entertaining match I ever saw was the 2001 Wimbledon Final...it was on a Monday because of a rain-out and they let the regular people in...so it was a loud boisterous crowd with WC style flags everywhere and some beach balls.

while we are on the subject of Tennis...I've never seen a tennis crowd get as pumped as when Murray took the first set in the Wimbledon final against Federer in 2012. Was pretty incredible.
