Who all remembers the show Best Damn Sports Show Period that aired in the 2000’s on Fox Sports Network? I really enjoyed watching this show, especially as I was getting more into sports at that time. I thought having Tom Arnold on a sports talk show was pretty cool!

Would watch it after Reds games. I believe the WSOP came on right after it.

Never watched, but did Tom Arnold actually know anything about sports?

I only ever remember the WSOP being on ESPN in the early 2000's.

Tom Arnold knew his way around a pigskin. And by pigskin I mean Roseanne’s fat arse.

Loved that show. My favorite part was probably "10 Things You Wouldn't Say to ___". Tom usually read those, and did a great job.

I still watch the Dan Hawkins clip some from that show today on YouTube.

That was the one where he was coaching at Colorado and a parent complained that the players weren't getting enough time off or something

LMAO

From what I recall, Tom knew his stuff. I think he was more the comedic relief while guys like Salley and Irvin were the sports gurus on the show. I still remember that time Michael Strahan “beat up” Tom Arnold on the set of the show LOL

Legendary stuff

BDSSP was basically Late Boomer/Gen X Barstool - same crowd that stayed up late to watch The Man Show (RIP).

Watched it religiously in college. I remember they did a spot at either Dublin's or Tiger Bar before a big LSU game. John Kruk was on the show, Demarco Farr and probably more I'm forgetting.

Loved it.

I used to watch this around 8th/9th/10th grade in bed before going to sleep on school nights. Used to love that show.
