The Bengals started the season 5-2. There is a good chance they will lose out to finish 5-11. I am curious what the worst final record any team has had that was 3 games over .500 at any point during the season. The worst possible obviously being 3-13.

Can anyone remember anything comparable?

I'm going to need to see the math here.

Chargers in the early 2000s had a season like that IIRC

ETA: It was 2001 Chargers

From 5-2 to 5-11.

Marvin Lewis and Hue Jackson

The worst collective coaching talent on a sideline in history

It's horrible, sadly we're so injury riddled that Mike Brown will use that as an excuse to keep Marvin Lewis.

15 players are on the season ending IR.

Funny thing is, Hue thinks he's the coach in waiting there.

Bengals fans can't catch a break. I have thought that since 2010 this team has had tremendous talent, easily enough talent to make deep playoff runs, and nothing.

I don't know if it's Marvin's fault, but somebody has to be to blame.

They’ll finish 3-1 and save Marv’s Job again

This feels like the right thread to laugh at the muffed punt safety that just happened in the toilet bowl

The Broncos started 6-0 in 2010 and finished 8-8.

They also started 3-1 or 3-2 last year and finished 3-13 or 4-12, I forgot it was a really shitty season
