Every got caught smoking weed. Beljan had a panic attack on course but won the tourney at Disney. That win didn't get him into The Masters. He butthurt.

They are entitled to their opinion and it's not completely ridiculous, but their timing reeks of butthurt

Yes, it is. This is a private club putting on an invitational. They can invite or not invite whomever they want to compete. Their founder was a lifetime amateur golfer, and they honor that by inviting half a dozen accomplished amateurs every year.

So they can't have an opinion? It's pretty obvious they are misguided and butthurt, but I bet a lot of fringe players agree with them.

Hell, I disagree with them, but 6 amateurs is a lot for a major that gives out a lot of automatic entries. IMO, they are wrong, but not ridiculous. To each his own.

All those automatic entries were earned, and lets not forget the amateurs technically got in on an "automatic entry" by winning their respective amateur tournaments. FWIW

Where did I say that? They can have any opinion they like. But, their opinion is ridiculous.

Also, these amateurs aren't talking anyone else's spot in the field. Even if the amateurs were left out, these guys wouldn't be there. So, I don't really understand what Every and Beljan are bitching about.
