Always loved Beano since the late 80's.

Will always remember his love affair with college football, it's history and of course Notre Dame (which is understandable because that was the power when Beano came of age.)

"To win the Heisman you have to play for Notre Dame or beat Notre Dame." - Beano (paraphrase)

Is he the one that claimed Ron Pawlus would win 4 Heisman's in a row?

Edit: Somebody already posted the story about the chick who called it wanting to sleep with the football team.

He predicted that he would win 2 Heismans and join Archie.

Then he said, he got out of the Heisman prediction business.

Michael Bonnette ?@LSUBonnette Beano Cook told me 1 time on phone that going to night game @LSUTigerStadium was 1 thing he always wanted to do. Sorry he never made it.

I heard him say this on an ESPN podcast a couple of years ago with Ivan Maisel. He said it's the one thing in college football he hadn't done yet, and at this point in his life, he didn't think it would happen.

He was a straight shooter...an informed, intelligent, insightful analyst. I loved Beano!
