I just don't like the style and flow of NBA play. I much prefer college ball. I also wish they would open contracts up to get more channels playing NBA.
Have a marquee matchup on ESPN/NBC/ABC/CBS every Wednesday or something.

I don't really understand their reasonings (no defense, no effort). I don't find them to be true. Anybody have a good reason how they can consider themselves basketball fans but not like watching the best players in the world play?
- No Defense
- No Effort
- Tickets are $$$$$$$$$$$$$$
- Playoffs take 3 months
And finally...
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, STOP PLAYING PIPED IN MUSIC WHILE THE GAME IS GOING ON!!!!!

I forgot to mention how they play black, rap music during actual play.
Teams will have advertisements on their jerseys in a few years.

Race has nothing to so with it for me (I'm black) although I'm sure there are white people out there don't like the "hip-hop" feel to it.
My problem with it is that it's just too star-centric. I don't like the dynamics of key players dictating everything and being greater than the team. It's just not interesting to me.

They give up on plays and don't hustle.

For me its some of the rules:
The 3 step rule
The continuation rule
Timeout rule and then getting the ball on the other side of half court?
Illegal defense

Its all dunking and jacking up 3's
Horrible defense (for the most part)
Absurdley over-paid
Superstars get all the calls
Fundamentals are ditched for athleticism

To be fair, college isn't exactly full of 12-foot jump shots.

Yeah, you're right.
It's a great idea.

I don't have a favorite team and really don't want to take more time to get into another sport/league. I already watch enough sports as it is.

I can't really get into college as much as the NBA because a team down by 25 will foul every possession under 3 minutes.

Also, tooo long of a season. Last season was one of the most entertaining NBA seasons for me in a long time. The games meant more last year. Every game was a big game. 82 games is just too long. Take it down to 60 games and players would play harder!

It works really well in soccer.
I know, I know, it is a faggy sport, but why would you want to prevent teams from trying to maximize revenue and consequently improve their organzation?

Because it's tacky as frick and a "sell out" move
Posted on 12/6/12 at 7:13 pm to Buckeye Backer
When are players not playing hard? The only time that I can remember this being an issue was actually a playoff series, where the Nuggets averaged 20+ point victories against the Hornets.
