It is basically the two michigan schools, and then the rest.

No way they lose more than three games the rest of the season

Don't count out the Buckeyes yet! They have a favorable schedule coming up and that could get them right back in the conversation. Again, one game at a time, but the oppurtunity is right there. The Buckeyes are currently 18-5 (5-5) overall and have this schedule remaining, which eases up considerably:
Purdue W
#10 Michigan W
@ Illinois W
Northwestern W
Minnesota W
@ Penn State W
@ Indiana L
Michigan State W
I can see the Buckeyes going anywhere from 8-0 to 6-2 in that stretch, but imo they go 7-1. I think the Buckeyes have turned the corner and are starting to play like they are capable of playing. I see the Buckeyes finishing up 25-6 (12-6) and gaining a share of the B1G title. That's right i said it!

Meanwhile, lets look at Michigan's remaining schedule....brutal!!
@ #17 Iowa
@ #25 Ohio State
#24 Wisconsin
#9 Michigan State
@ Purdue
Minnesota
@ Illinois
Indiana
Michigan is in for a VERY tough month of February!

2-2 in that stretch. That UM/MSU game should be fun.

4-0, isn't unlikely. UM will be fine, though.

I could see them going 0-4 in that stretch and here is why. Iowa needs a win badly, so they will be motivated. Ohio State will be tough to win at. Just like Iowa, Wisconsin will need that game badly and should play well. Michigan State will want revenge. Michigan will have to play perfect in all 4 of those games to win. Not saying they cant, but it will be tough for sure. The B1G is a grind man.

ETA - But either way, OSU with 5 loses is already out of the championship hunt. State isnt going to lose 4 more games.

Why not? They just lost to a really bad 12-9 Georgetown team. We will see. All i'm saying is lets just let it play out. This race, while it may be slim, is NOT over yet!

Bad loss, definitely. But also Payne/Dawson were missing too. Clearly that team isn't that good without those two. They looked awful that day, even Izzo called them out.

I agree

At this point, I'm only concerned about injuries, not having anymore bad losses, and playing good basketball. If MSU wins the B1G, great. If not, I'm not going to lose sleep.

my official guess is 5-3, though.

You know, it really is ridiculous how MSU gets a nice cupcake between every big game, yet Michigan has to play 4 straight top 25 teams in two separate stretches.

Iowa is putting it on Michigan! Michigan could be in very tough stretch.
