Yeah, I've been a bit disappointed in the fans here since moving to ATL 2 years ago.
I will say the Braves have a big following and people love to act like they're big fans, but they still can't pack the stadium. I think a better located stadium would help the Braves. As for the Falcons, pathetic. And the Hawks, hardly even know they exist.

Miami fans demand a quality product.
Panthers have sucked forever.
Marlins have sucked for a while.
Dolphins have sucked for a while.
Heat are good.
They demand a quality product, but they aren't getting it and haven't for some time outside of the Heat.
Miami does demand a quality product to go watch. There is too much to do entertainment wise and too much entertainment competition for it to be otherwise.
The Heat are winning so the arena is always packed out, tickets are often expensive, etc.
If the Fins improve Sunlife will be packed in a heartbeat and the whole city will go crazy for them. The Fins are immensly popular even after decades of sucking (for the most part).
I even think the Marlins would get good support in the new stadium if they were contenders. Not great, but decent.
Personally, I think Miami is a better sports town than Atl (after having spent about 5 years in each).

If you say so. I bet Fins attendance is much better than Saints attendance when sucking.
Fins fans > Saints fans.

Oh my frick...

Also, while we are at it, lets compare a few things...
Fins were terrible in 2011 and have been terrible for almost a decade. The Falcons had the best record in the entire NFC. So, what were the attendance rankings?
Fins: #22
Falcons: #20
Almost identical. If the Fins had been in the Falcons position the Fins games would have all been packed out and it wouldn't even be comparable.

This would seem like a wash at this point.

Yes. Go back to when the Sainst sucked. Compare that to the current era of suckage for the Fins.

Also, while we are at it, you want to compare Heat support to Hawks support (in the years the Hawks were good)?
I don't think you do.
We could talk Braves Marlins as well and I suspect the support for each will be at least comparable when they are both good even though the Braves have been around for decades longer and draw fans from many south eastern states with no MLB team.

No question in regards to football. No question. The Falcons should sell out every game, because their team is a very good team. I'll agree with you there.
The Heat fan base is pathetic, and I actualy love Lebron. The bandwagon for the Heat is the biggest I've seen. If he goes, that arena will have no one attend. Does Miami require their teams win titles to support them though?

Atlanta and Miami are in a class by themselves when it comes to crappy sports towns. Atlanta's only consistently good team is the Braves and they draw mediocre crowds on average. There were times recently where they had Rays-like crowds.

The Saints sold out for the 2006 season after following a hurricane that forced them to play ever "home" game in a different stadium, leading to a 3-13 record. No one knew how the hell they would be, but they still sold out the season. No one knew what Brees and Payton would do.
The Saints are historically terrible, but survived in New Orleans and have had a very loyal fan base.

Heat and Marlins, somewhat. The Heat got decent attendance before Lebron though.
Marlins are going to have horrific attendance this year. People are furious.
Fins get support. If they can just field a decent team that squeaks into the playoffs, they will have tons of support the next year and pack out Sunlife.

Well there was certainly some anticipation with the additions of Brees and Bush.

I love the Brees signing because he was good in San Diego, and of course there was excitement because of Reggie. He was a phenom at USC. Sean Payton we knew absolutely nothing about though. I think the biggest excitement for people was seeing their team return home.

The fins aren't really who I'm referring to. They get attendance for about what their records are. If they have a playoff caliber team they will pack the stadium. It's the Marlins/Heat that I'm mainly referring to. The Marlins I feel sorry for; the Heat I just can't stand most of their "fans".

Well, I'm a Laker fan. Have been since 6 years old.
I like the Heat winning since I live here though. Makes things more fun, but I don't consider myself a real fan.
Same for the Fins.
The Marlins ironically are the team I am a fan of since they are my favorite baseball team.
