Since his 4-4 game after Ozzie’s injury, Arcia is 6-42 (.142) with 1 double, 0 HR, and 1 BB.

Knew he hadn’t been great, but that’s rough.

And Ozzie isn't back for another month.

Oy!

Now the L.A media is going after Freddie:

Yeah, it was always going to get worse the more he got exposed.

That article is brutal. I don't blame LA people for feeling how they do about the situation, honestly.

Travis DeMeritte would be proud.

The article is on point and well deserved. Seriously though, good thing he’s hitting or this would be a disaster

Not until the end of the 2024 season, by which point he'll be 31. He's the one who I think AA is going to eventually let walk. We aren't the Yankees, Dodgers, or Mets with a limitless payroll. Can't extend all of these guys. No idea what Dansby is going to cost but if we resign him, it won't be cheap. Riley needs to get done at some point soon and I think Harris is on the table as well.

AA is smarter than me and he has shown himself to be very forward thinking. Doesn't he have to prepare for the day when Acuna or Albies comes in and wants their contract redone? I know that isn't a thing in baseball, but I just get the feeling that'll happen one day, especially with Albies.

I don't think this is going away, either. This might be a thing for the Dodgers all season. If so, I'll think of it as Freddie's parting gift to us .

His production on the field is all that matters though.

If he helps them to a World Series, all of this is forgotten in Chavez Ravine.

That would be incredibly dumb.

I didn't say I like the idea, but I'm just trying to think realistically. We all want everyone to get extended but the Braves just can't do it.

Can't and won't are two different things.

Lets stop acting like Liberty Media is not turning a crazy profit on the Braves in one of the biggest cities in the country.

Liberty Media could very easily still turn a profit on the Braves while operating in the lux tax.

Liberty Media can't inject more cash into the team than they make on their own. It is illegal for them to do it and the SEC (not the conference ) would have a field day with them if they did.

Since we are starting to chase them down in the division again, it’s time once again to wish the Mets a Happy Bobby Bonilla Day!!

That is not even remotely what I said.
