Meh, they still gave up a lot, essentially everyone worth a shite on their farm.

I was thinking we would have had to offer Strider, Harris, and Contreras, at minimum. That doesn't include the division tax.

None of the guys San Diego gave up are as good as those three.

We all know how good Acuna is, which makes it so damn maddening during this slump. We literally need him to produce consistently with this lineup. God I hope this gets him going.

Yeah, but all of those guys have MLB service time and have shown they belong in MLB, so it’s hard to compare.

For example, Strider at this time last year was just cracking into the top 10 of our prospect rankings and wasn’t even top 100… now he’s rookie of the year favorite.

Who would you all vote for for Rookie of the Year, Strider or Harris? Tough call.

Strider. I really like Harris and think he is going to be a star. He already is what everyone hoped Cristian Pache would turn into one day, and he's only going to get better. But when I watch Strider when he's on his game, I get Pedro Martinez flashbacks.

Strider right now but both of them helped this team so much in providing stability at their position

If MLB is serious about banning the shift, Matt Olson might be the 2023 NL MVP.

I never understood the Pache hype. How could someone who’s never hit very well at any professional level be the #3 prospect?

He showed flashes of real raw power as a teenager, and there were people saying he was the best defensive outfielder in the entire organization, including Ender, and Ender won the Gold Glove that season. The hope was that even if his bat never really came around, he could be a Kevin Kiermaier type, but he absolutely cannot make hard contact at the major league level. The contact tool just never developed and even seemed to regress for him.

Jesus Christ. Giving up 4 HR to this lineup is shameful.

That was impressive.

On the whole, NY just seems to have the better squad this year.

Two of their trade deadline bats have combined for 3 home runs tonight, meanwhile, we're not even using ours because they were made to replace Mike Ford and Robinson Cano and not really push our current starters (unless a lefty is pitching which doesn't happen all that often.)

He used to be a hell of a fielder too. Kind of a lefty Duvall
