I don't think Grissom has ever caught at any level.

May have been confusing him. But if he is still here, it wouldn’t be a bad move to get him some work there over the offseason. He’s a good enough athlete that I think he could be serviceable with some work. (And in LF). If there’s not an everyday spot for him, he needs to be that super utility guy like Chris Taylor is for the Dodgers. That’d be the best way to get the most value out of him besides as a trade piece.

And I’d still get him 4 ABs a day in Gwinnett through the end of August to keep him sharp, but after that, he’s not doing anybody any good hitting .350 in the minors. And I loved the juice he brought last year when he was called up. Would be a nice addition to this team in September and the playoffs.

Grissom not giving LF a shot in Gwinnett is frustrating.

Grissom was on with Bill Shanks Friday and he said the organization has never approached him about moving to left field.

Get him on the Austin Nola regimen.

Think we were recently talking about how cold Ahsoona from the Braves had been.

Goddamnit, what I wouldn’t give to get some competent bullpen help.

I get that shite happens, and that’s baseball, but frick me running. McHugh came in and promptly shite all over the place and Snit just sat there. It is something that I don’t understand and probably never will. This bullpen is a Jekyll/Hyde thing, and you never know what you will get. You have to hold your breath and hope that Jekyll comes in.

I wish the Giants sucked more so they would listen to offers for Luke Jackson.

Ozuna GOAT. You were all over this with how hard he’d been hitting the ball with nothing to show for it. It eventually works itself out.

Man, I was just texting with Dale Murphy—how much better does ‘23 Ozuna make this lineup compared to Ozuna of ‘22? Or Ozuna from April of this year? Crazy.

Ozuna has a higher average EV in July than Riley.

He's been fricking up baseballs all month.

Braves, Marlins and Phillies all in the middle of late-inning tie games right now.

Yep. And I loved that both his homers yesterday were to right.

Meanwhile, Joe Jimenez has been one of the best pen arms JB baseballs the past couple months.

Yep, and credit to him for working his way to being that... but under no circumstance should Joe Jimenez ever be our best bullpen arm.

We have to approach this deadline, the same way we did in 2019. Multiple moves for high-leverage arms.

That's two days in a row he's been gunned down at third by a mile because he thought he had wheels.

Benchable offense but we have no real UI on the bench.

Ball in front of him, that’s 100% his call. But he’s got to have better situational awareness.
