His speed probably won't be what it was but his power should still be the same.

If anything, he'll probably morph into more of a middle of the lineup guy.

Just got back to the hotel in Grand Central area after watching a shite ton of Yankees fans leave the stadium early, pull up the thread, see the same ol shite between the same fricking dipshits, calling it a night.

I’m partial to Bleecker Street Pizza late at night. They’ve expanded into the building next door since last time in there. It’s the best pizza I’ve ever had. Especially at 0300.
Johns is also phenomenal as well.
Damn now I want NY pizza

Sale continues to impress off the field as well.

His post game comments were perfect.

Essentially they weren’t panicking when they were struggling and now they aren’t throwing parties because they’re playing well.

I'd like to see our records since that morning show host on WIP in Philly proclaimed that the division was over about 2 weeks ago.

Since Joe Giglio on WIP in Philly declared that the division was over on June 6th:

Braves are 8-5
Phillies are 5-7

Sean Newcomb gets win without facing a batter

quote:

With the A's trailing 5-4, Newcomb came on in relief of Lucas Erceg to face Minnesota's Willi Castro with Austin Martin on first and two outs in the eighth inning. With a 1-1 count on Castro, the left-handed Newcomb picked off Martin to end the inning.

Shea Langeliers hit a two-run homer off Jhoan Duran in the bottom of the eighth to give the A's the lead. Mason Miller came in to pitch the ninth and sealed the rare win for Newcomb with his 14th save.

Today I learned that Sean Newcomb is still in the league. Surprised he didn't airmail the pickoff throw.

My concern is more related to his defense and whether he is going to have to be a DH only for most of the rest of his career.

Ehhh we can’t say much considering Acuna’s current state.

On a serious note, I’m legit worried about how much his future has been altered with two surgically repaired knees

Agreed, but the Braves won the WS without Acuna. I don’t see the Yankees doing the same without Judge.

Fair.

And that plays into my point that he could very possibly transition into a middle of The lineup hitter.

Kinda cool that we have three guys - ironically the three starters in this series - who have pitched World Series clinching games.

Morton and Sale have been on the mound for the celebrations and Fried of course started game 6 in 2021.
