Mateo making Kim look even worse.

Hopefully the fact that he plays a premium position will allow us to flip him for a half decent lefty reliever.

The strike box on Fox coverage os horrible

Damn, let em off the hook there.

Yeah, I don't need to see Kim in the field or at the plate for us ever again.

Riley had been declining for three straight years now. It's not an anomaly. Plus he is a below average fielder.
Might be a change of scenery guy

Yes, OAA and most metrics show he is clearly a below average fielder. He isn't a butcher, but consistently rates negatively.
He is a bat first guy
Just quick look at statcast has him negative basically his entire career

But who wants to pay that kind of money for his actual worth

The sabermetrics community has debated for years how flawed the defensive metrics are.
Riley is perfectly fine at 3B

I agree there is a lot of voltailty to defense metric. But generally they bounce back and forth.
Not stay generally consistent

I don't think Riley is going anywhere unless we get some sort of contract swap.
Braves won't give up on him for a few more years.
We don't know if he is injured

But all of the metrics are based on range of a player and not really much on glove skills and arm which is dumb for 3B because it's arguably the position where you need the least amount of range because the SS is right there.

He grounded out, but I just got expect a hit every time I see Dom at the plate. Really nice season for him.
