First pitch to Nimmo needs to be up and in or aimed squarely at his ribcage.

Acuña took a pitch to the left shoulder. Doubled over in pain. They removed him from the game immediately.

Looks like he just didn’t feel like playing back to back games.

It used to be that Nimmo would have to wear one. But in today's game they don't want the SP to be ejected

That piece of dogshit Megill was grinning from ear to ear after he hit him too.

Yep. Someone in the Reddit game thread:

“So, I’m no expert or mind reader, but watching the replay, Megill didn’t look shocked he hit him, didn’t care he hit him, and even seemed to crack a smile. I’m not saying he threw at him, but”

Yeah, should have Nimmo or Alfonso take one later when we have a relief pitcher in.

Really glad that they picked up Pillar. He is an asset to have.

Acuna will continue to be thrown at until the Braves finally sack up and do something about it. Teams have been throwing at him for six years and the only "retaliation" was Gausman throwing behind Urena once.

frick that. It is time. If you don't want to lose Charlie, wait until later in the game, send in someone like Jimenez and order him to throw at Lindor's head with the caveat that the team will pay any potential fine. If Lindor gets hurt, too fricking bad. Tell your pitchers to not miss their spots.

Or just allow him to continue to keep getting hit with no repercussions.

Teams are still going to throw in on him even if we retaliate.

Just give Ozuna some at bats and let him concuss the catchers

Pitchers might be a little more careful if they know their best hitter is going to wear one if they throw up and in on Acuna and miss.

In this particular instance, Megill giggling like a little girl after he hit Acuna says it all.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for brawling with them. But pitchers aren't going to go against the analytics for facing Ronnie just because one of their hitters wears one in retaliation.

The repercussions need to be handled by the umpires and MLB. Which they won't. Throwing at people's heads who had nothing to do with Ronald getting hit, is not how anything should be handled. Someone could come out of the dugout and start a fight with Megill, if they want to retaliate. Throwing at people is cowardly on both sides, in my opinion.

You take my best player out of the game and smile about it, I'm taking your best player out of the game too. Even the playing field a little bit.

Too bad Tromp's comebacker didn't hit Megill in the face.

That's barbaric, dude. You take it up with the guy who actually hit Ronald. You can kill someone throwing at their head. I can't believe this has to be said.

Fair point. Ribcage, then. I'm just tired of watching it happen and I really wish that opposing pitchers at least had the seed planted in their minds of "well, if I hit him, then I am responsible for Pete or Francisco getting drilled in the ribs."
