I kinda counted this game as a loss anyway

I did when I thought Morton was going to start.

Changed my tune after I saw Strider throw those first two innings.

The only reason I still think we win tomorrow with Morton is because Bailey Falter is trash.

This has got to be Ozuna’s last game at DH, right. I was fine with the decision to start him. Fine with leaving him in today in case you want to give Travis a breather and put Contreras behind the plate at some point. But Ozuna’s at-bats have not even been competitive. And not just the typical non-competitive at-bat. They were aggressively non-competitive. It would have taken less effort to be competitive than it did to achieve that level of non-competitiveness.

That’s why I still think this was the best pitching play. This would’ve been disastrous had Nola shut us down and Strider blown up in Game 4.

Probably, but who knows what happens for game 5 if we win but Contreras' slump continues.

Very curious how they handle Ozuna in the offseason. I was so happy when we gave him the contract, but he has been nothing but a disaster ever since.

If you think about it the Phillies have really only been successful against our pitchers that aren't throwing anywhere near the quality of their normal stuff.

The bullpen, wright, and now ordorizzi have been pretty successful against them. A good Charlie tomorrow should be enough to get it back to Atlanta

My whole thing though was that whether it was a recovering-Strider or Morton, the blow up factor with either was about the same. I thought Morton would've been the better option today just because, if he did have a good outing, you save the pen, where you knew you would be relying heavily on the pen whether Strider was good or bad today.

In a way, it helped that Philly got out to such a big lead, taking the bullpen decision making out of our hands and punting on the game with Odorizzi.

Let's get to three here and dip into their back end guys for an inning or two.

If only Snit had him above Ozuna in the batting order

Arcia's first hit off of Nola in 14 AB's.

Sometimes you just gotta say frick dem numbers.

Hey, at least Arcia breaks out of it and we got to their own with 9 outs left to go. Doubt they use their top guys, but maybe we can hit a 3-run homer and make them have to use a guy for an inning.

Feel exactly the same. His lack of “give a frick” is maddening.

Just get Alvarado's pitch count up here.

ETA: it's alarming how badly Contreras has been missing on pitches lately.

No doubt. If we weren’t gonna win, this was the way to do it.

Man Alvarado isn't sharp. If we could just be patient here, we could get something.

And as I type that, Ronnie chases a 3-2 pitch in the other box.
