Altuve was the last guy you want up in that situation. Scrambled egg brains.

Looked like a damn pitcher hitting there he was so late.

How is Straw not on third?
Straw is a low-key (or maybe not so low-key) shitty baserunner. This isn't the 1st time he has failed to take am extra base.

Should have pinch hit Toro. Or even Garneau.

Altuve is so gutless. Insane how much of a mental midget he is. He’s going to physically wilt when he actually has to play in front of fans again. That 1-1 changeup should have murdered and then he got blown away by 92mph
Angels now 2.5 back but they hold the tie break. They finish with the Dodgers

After their loss tonight in Seattle, the Astros are batting .238/.310/.402 as a team through 56 games. They’re on pace for their worst BA since 2012, their worst OBP since 2014 and their worst SLG since 2014.
So much for showing everybody they didn't need to cheat to be a good team. These guys fricking suck.

Those are jarring numbers. Sackless losers

Straw plays no part in the future of the Astros. That’s the only certainty I can draw, if we don’t count Reddick getting garbage time “clutch” hits that don’t affect the outcome.
Outside of Tucker and the young pitchers, this team has made it as convenient as possible to watch the Astros window shatter when closed

If only their quality starting SS Simmons hadn’t opted out w 5 games left and still in the “playoff” hunt. LOL
I mean, the Astros vets are doing everything to avoid them, but opting out?
Damn

It would seem that my decision to quit watching after the boycott was of exquisite timing. Not sure I'll be able to get into the club again until Bregman and Correa are gone.

Bregman isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

Thought you were a Cardinals fan, how are you apprised of his contract extension details?

The Astros are 7-9 in their last 16 games, hitting .202 as a team
That takes us back to the end of that dumpster fire Angels series.
9/4: Astros score 3 in the 9th inning to tie, walk off loss in 11
9/5 Game 1: Astros score 3 in the 7th inning to take a 9-7 lead, allow 3 runs in bottom of the 7th for a walk of loss 10-7
9/5 Game 2: Astros take a 6-4 lead into the 7th inning, allow 3 runs and lose 7-6.
9/6: Astros take a 5-5 tie into the 8th inning, allow 4 runs and lose 9-5.
That was the point where they quit on the season. Just completely done mentally.
