From 2 days ago on Chron blog

quote:

LANCASTER, Calif. — Add another twist to the rollercoaster season.

Mark Appel was supposed to start today — his latest chance to get back on the path of success at Class A Advanced Lancaster.

Instead, the No. 1 overall pick from 2013 will be skipped so he can get extra work in his bullpen sessions.

“I haven’t lost faith or lost sight or lost confidence,” Appel said. “It’s been an up-and-down season but I’m just as motivated as ever and ready to go to work.”

I am genuinely impressed with how you are capable of keeping your anger at such a high level every single day.

You must live off of nothing but soggy bacon, salt-free pretzels, and over ripe bananas.

I agree. I am certainly not giving up on him. I am losing some hope that he can be a top of the rotation type guy, but I do have faith that he can still be a quality starter at this point.

I ain't angry man. I was angry when pujols home run sailed over my head and kept rising with two outs in the 9th against lidge in 05. That was anger. This is called entertaining yourself while the team embarks on a 15 year rebuild.

And there it goes. I was just fixing to say Peacock may not make it out of this inning.

Peacock may legitimately be the worst pitcher in the majors

Plenty worse than him....can't think of any at the moment but there's gotta be atleast four.

Well goodnight DAT. Oakland has sent me to bed early. No use in losing sleep

There is no Astros pitcher I have less confidence in when he takes the mound.

Jerome Williams was the only one who competed with him, but he's gone now.

Peacock has been misused from the jump.

He's better suited to be a long reliever than a starter.

Rhynos' "15 year astros rebuild"....classic line for the lastros !!! With the way that club handles all their last place/high draft choice opportunities, I can actually see a 15 year rebuild..lmao !
