Laureano was drilled twice directly in the center of his back in back to back at bats. Regardless of whether either was intentional of course he’s going to be pissed. Despite his antics everything was fine until Cintron decided to be a stupid arse bitch. There is a reason the ENTIRE league hates the Astros.

Of course he has the right to be pissed. He doesn’t have the right to show up a rookie pitcher however. Dude didn’t mean to hit him, be pissed all you want, but Ramon fricking Laureano isn’t a big enough swinging dick to act like the way he acted.

Ramon was just upset by getting hit 3 times in a series, he knew it wasn’t intentional and was cooled off by the time he got to first. The astros hitting coach started the brawl

He wasn’t cooled off because he jawed the whole way down the line. And as much as everyone hates the Astros they also have the right to defend their guy

ETA: and AGAIN it was a 3-2 backup slider. People get hit a bunch and I’ve NEVER seen anyway demonstrate to a player the way he did

It’s very clear the Astros fans will only see things one way. Meanwhile players/fans/etc from all 29 teams across the league are speaking out about what a bitch Cintron is.

And Laureano is pretty fricking good. He really didn’t do anything out of line. Could’ve done without his antics, but again he was pissed but as everyone else has pointed out once at first base everything was fine.

I even just rewatched it. Laureano was calmed down and stopped all his shite halfway up the first base line.

And it’s very clear that no matter what the Astros do 29 other fanbases will have a problem with it.

And you just contradicted yourself you said he didn’t do anything wrong and then the next sentence you said you could’ve done without his antics. If he didn’t do anything wrong then you would not have any problem with the antics.

Yea sure Ramon is a fine player but he’s not a guy that everyone knows. He’s a slightly above average MLB guy going into his second year. That’s not enough clout to show up a guy who let a full count breaking ball slip and back up on him

Doesn’t matter when he stopped the shite, the Astros coaches and players are allowed to have their guys back

ETA: he was mouthing to Yuli the whole way, he touched first base the broadcast cut away for 2 seconds and then came back because he ran at the dugout. He was most assuredly still talking shite the whole time

I love baseball but the modern "brawls" (glaring misuse of the term) are the weakest fights ever.

"Brawls" were when guys like Fisk and Munson, Graig Nettles and George Brett, or Ryan and Ventura went at it and actually threw haymakers.

I didn’t contradict myself. I don’t think he did anything wrong with his antics. However, me personally, I could live without them. However, from his perspective after what has transpired, I don’t think he was wrong for doing. I’m just saying, personally I didn’t care for it. Doesn’t make what he did wrong.

But this argument is pointless. You’re not going to change your view and neither are the other 29 teams.

Fair enough and thanks for civil discussion

This is definitely a very interesting situation and people are going to have a difference of opinions and it’s nice to be able to read different opinions. Feels good to have sports back and be able to argue over stuff like this

Agreed, my friend. At the end of the day it’s baseball and it’s not that serious lol. Cheers!

So this weekend Oakland was hit 5 times and 0 Astros were hit? I’m surprised it didn’t blow up before the 7th. It’s seeming more and more Oakland held it’s cool well

So the astros would be out of the playoffs if the season ended today?

After reading this thread, it's plain to see, Trashtros fans are either the most obtuse or stupid fans going right now.

To elaborate, both the fans and players of Houston are salty and trying to play the victim so bad. It's hard to tell whose more the whiny crybaby about getting swept.

Question, if the A's are whatever the Houston fanbois say they are, why is it no Houston players were HBP why plenty of A's were, including Laureano twice in this game? Somebody's a bitch and it ain't the A's, A's fans or any fans or players outside of Houston.

Because the A’s have a pitching staff of legitimate MLB caliber players.

The A’s were hit by Greinke (off speed pitch) and three rookies who hadn’t pitched in the big leagues prior to this year in Enoli Parades, Humberto Castellanos (x2) and Brandon Bailey. Breaking news young guys don’t have the best control.

Just reading your post tells me how stupid you are. Did you watch any of the games? Do you realize that 2 of the HBP came in extra innings on Friday? No you don’t know those things because it doesn’t matter because orange team bad. And that’s perfectly fine to feel that way but don’t call Astros fans stupid for siding with their team

Orange team bad! The Astros are literal scum and every other team did no wrong. Most people can’t think about it any deeper than that. Gotta embrace it and have some fun.

The irony is that there are only 10 current Stros from 2017. Marwin Gonzalez will get a free pass and people will boo the shite out of Yordan Alvarez It’s pretty funny actually.

So the player who gets hit three times in two games should just let it go, but the professional coach is OK to challenge the opposing player, who again is the one hit three times, and that is OK? No, the coach should be professional, no one is threatening his player, and a player who has been hit two at bats in a row should be expected to say whatever stupidity he wants to as long as he isn't threatening your player.

And if you are a coach asking for an opposing player to fight you, you step up to that fight, otherwise you don't have anyone's back.

This would be pathetic behavior for any club, not just the Astros.
