I would imagine the pick is protected as well. Every one knows the Rockets are dumping Asik and Lin so they can't get too much in return

Eating a poison pill would suck if it was for a shitty player they didn't need. Pelicans need an even relatively serviceable center that it was pretty pathetic by season end.

We'll see if they can end up flipping EG to someone for cap space, bench depth, and maybe an average SF.

top 20 protection. if we get a lottery this year it would be 2 picks for asik and jrue. 2 proven players for 2 draft picks I would take any day. even 3 for 2 is a good deal imo fwiw

Someone will be added. If it's a guy like Lowry the offseason will be a huge success.

Rumor is that there's at least 1 deal in place for Lin too. We'll have money to spend.

One of which is a center that you hope turns into Asik if he eats 10 cheeseburgers a day, on of which will be a pick greater than 20 and one one of which will be in a spot where players are just as likely to completely flop than be a legitimate contributor.
