Great run, but is it a dynasty if you don't even make the playoffs the two years in between?

"Dynasty" being an arbitrary term, I think the Astros 2017-2022 run is more impressive than the Giants from 2010-2014.

If the Astros win another title again next year or even 2024 then sure. I just don't think 2 in 6 qualifies as a dynasty.

I obviously hate the Saints but anyone who does that is retarded. Same thing with the 2017 Astros. MLB let them keep it so it's legit.

And as much as I hate the Dodgers their 2020 title is legit too. They won what was in place that everyone agreed to.

Astros run:

2017: 1
2018: T3
2019: 2
2020: T3
2021: 2
2022: 1

That’s a dynasty

Any other "dynasties" with only 2 titles?

Okay looks like the Reds "Big Red Machine" are considered a dynasty even though they only won 2 titles. These are the only ones I'd consider though since I started watching sports in the early 90s:

92-95 Cowboys
91-93 and 96-98 Bulls (I guess you could lump these together as one)
01-04 Pats
96-00 Yankees (I guess you could extend this to 03)
15-19 Warriors
94-97 Nebraska football (I guess this could be 93-97)
09-12 Bama football
00-04 Lakers

Maybe the 99-05 or 99-07 Spurs too. I always forget about them.

Five Division Titles
Four AL Pennants

If they aren’t a dynasty, it sure has been one hell of a run.

Dynasty of Cheating, sure.

People don't like the truth. Surprised you got more than 5 upvotes.

Lol at a Bama fan chiming in.

Astros could win 5 more and you same goons would yell CHEAT!

The question is if they're still cheating then why won't the league stop them?

We have made peace with the "cheating".

The mind set is frick'em all.

We all know the teams who get preferential treatment "cheating" and their fans have zero problem with it.

Guess what, the Houston Astros fans have embraced it and have become hardcore.

See, I think Bama still has a dynasty going.

It ended Saturday, but 08-22 is one hell of a run

In your cheating defense, MLB is a sham/scam from top to bottom, and as you've alluded, have tolerated cheating in various forms since its inception, though the past 20 years have seen some blatant cheating that has been ignored by everyone in MLB. But doesn't change the fact the Astros are cheaters, period. Sling insults at will - they cheated to win their first title, and probably did it again.
