Fair point.
But he wasn't getting a lot of playing time prior to this year and that's not something that gets better by sitting on the bench.

I’m flipping between the Texas and the Duke game….started watching Duke more but I noticed a lot of his passes are off.

People are allowed to get better and I think he will. The heisman and 1st round talk were clearly unwarranted. The expectations need to be reset for him. He might turn into a decent college QB but nothing about him screams first round potential to me or even NFL level; not yet anyway.

Never said that he couldn’t or wouldn’t. However a lot of his passes are off….. high….low….wide. And this is against San Jose st….not Ohio St.

Oh yeah wasn’t necessarily responding to you. He hasn’t shown me anything close to the amount of hype he’s been getting.
Half of my office are UT grads and I’ve been telling them for two years he won’t be good as they think he will be; especially when they wanted to replace Ewers with him last year. I’m happier when UT sucks

My apologies. I wonder if he had gone to a ‘smaller’ school (no not like Tulane) if that would have been better for him. I guess him not beating out Quinn last year was a sign…..
